Kudos to Arvind Kejriwal- the honest man who made history.

Kejriwal took charge on December 28 at the head of a minority government supported from outside by the Congress. His resignation from the chief ministership of Delhi alongside the Aam Aadmi Party’s contention that it was wronged by the self-serving politics of the Congress  and the BJP could serve the  party well in coming days, party insiders believe.

Arvind Kejriwal-my hats off to this honest man in 21st century.

He ruled Delhi only 49 days but he exposed both the main rival political parties “Congress & BJP” in this short period. We witnessed many ups and downs in this short period but every day we could see  an attack on corrupt leaders of both parties. The system had been made so dirty by Congress specially as it governed for 15 years that it was not possible to clean up and change the mentality of corrupt officials of this rotten system.it

The main achievements of Arvind Kejriwal can be credits as ….the exposures of nexus in between Shila Dixit govt. and the power translmission companies and the Gas prices which were deliberately to benefit Ambanis. A FIR is also registered against Central cabinet Ministers and Mukesh Ambani just a day before Arvind sent his resignation. This mafia is so powerful that it could pay any amount to AAP to keep their mouth shut or to contest the upcoming elections of Parliament but Arvind could not be lured for money. He wants transparency and accountability to people of Delhi. The AAP Government today tabled the Jan Lokpal Bill in Delhi assembly amidst stiff defying Lt Governor’s advice without following constitutional procedures. Opposition demanded for voting on the LG’s advice. it was strongly opposed by BJP and Congress MLAs as expected. Arvind knew it so on February 9, he had threatened to resign if the bill was not allowed to be passed.

In the voting, 42 members voted against the introduction of the bill, while only 27 MLAs – all AAP leaders – voted for it. Delhi assembly has a total strength of 70.

As it became apparent that the Congress, BJP and Janata Dal-United legislator Shoiab Iqbal and lone independent Rambeer Shokeen will not allow the AAP government to introduce the bill, Kejriwal and his senior cabinet colleague Manish Sisodia presented two appropriation bills that would empower the government to access funds for expenditure.

Kejriwal then stood up to speak, giving enough indication he was going to resign when he said that this “seems like our last (assembly) session”. He said it was more important to “fight corruption than to run a government”.

“Today, they did not let the Jan Lokpal Bill to be introduced. It has been defeated,” declared a defiant and gesticulating Kejriwal.

“Whether our government remains in power or not is not important,” he said,

“We have come here to save the country. If we have to give up the chief minister’s post for the sake of the country, we will do it not a hundred times but a thousand times,” he said.

                            MS Dhir, speaker Delhi assembly

The speaker MS Dhir got caught in a political whirlwind and conceded to have a vote on revoking his powers to-day. While he said he knew what was happening, It took senior BJP legislators to remind him after the voting that he had no powers in the House that day. But Dhir replied,
“The legislators were going out of control and I thought this was the best way to get some order in the House. They wanted my powers revoked because they were scared that I would throw them out. To counter that, both BJP and Congress go.  He further said, that he adjourned the House four times because of the “utter lawlessness” of the legislators. “I took a very lenient view of things. The legislators were bent upon creating a nuisance and were highly irresponsible. I should have used my powers earlier in the day itself and thrown them out,” he said in the hindsight.

So now we can’t predict if Delhi is going to have another round of assembly elections, the parliament elections are going to be held in April this year. Most probably the asssembly may also go on poll same time. It will certainly give way for a clean sweep to Aam Aadmi Party. they will make a great victory  in these elections and i am hopeful of their historicall entry in Parliament.

The followers of BJP and Congress may be having their own opinions but i remember the day when the result of elections was declared in November 2013. I saw the crying MLAs of Congress who were afraid of going to another poll. They persueded the Congress high command to give support to AAP to form the govt, they defamed AAP and accused them of running from their constitutional duties, some of legislators and paid media alleged Arvind as cowardly running from fulfilling his commitments he made with public of Delhi.

Then Arvind and his party went to every colony and took opinion of public on forming the govt, they formed but only when people of Delhi ordered them.

But whether Arvind ran from his commitments he made with public of Delhi ?

No ! It’s false allegation to defame an honest man.

I can prove it. Last year in May 2013, Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti was on hunger strike, before that a victim of 1984 Sikh genocide Bibi Nirpreet kaur had kept FAST. On 4th day, she was assured by leaders of Akali dal, Jathedar of Akal Takhat and Arvind Kejriwal assured her to make every effort to fulfil his demands and they too supported her demands.

Arvind had given his assurance to Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti and said.”If his party comes in power, he will do justice with Sikhs to which they are not delivered for the last 30 years and that he will support demands.”

On his assurance, Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti ended his Fast, Arvind himself offered a glass of juice to Iqbal Singh ji.

Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti with Ajmer Singh Randhawa

A miracle happened in November and Arvind came in power in Delhi. He was worn Chief Minister of Delhi. It may be a co-incidence that Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti had started his FAST UNTO DEATH in paris (France) but he better decided to shift his base to India. He arrived Mohali on 18th dec. and continued his fast there upto 31st Dec. With the ntrance into new year, he shifted his base to Jantar Mantar Delhi, his fast continued and was never left alone. On 25th January-14, A delegation of United Sikh Mission with some members of other Sikh org. went to meet Arvind kejriwl and they reminded him his commitments. Arvind immediately sent a LETTER OF ASSURANCE to Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti throough this delegationa nd request Bhai sahab to end his fast.

Iqbal Singh requested two days time to discuss with other supporters, Sikh sant samaj and organizations before he ends his fast, he wanted to win their trust. Finally on 27th he ended his FAST UNTO DEATH. he was offered a glass of juice by Jagdeep Singh MLA along with Jarnail Singh MLA.
After this Arvind sent a letter to President of India demandfabricated by Sumedh Saing release of Prof. Bhullar who is a death convict. Sikhs see his innocent and falsely fabricated by Sumedh saini (presently DGP Punjab) who is alleged of killing father and uncle of Bhullar and injuring some of his relatives.Bhullar is lodged since 1993 in jail and now gone insane.

Then Arvind sent a letter to LG, Delhi to form a special investigating team to probe Sikh genocide 1984.

Arvind is the only political leader who accepted that the pogrom of 1984 in Delhi and other parts of Delhi was not riots but a massacre of Sikhs, hence he also called it KATLEAAM OR GENOCIDE OF SIKHS. (see the picture below),

Days after raking up the 1984 anti-Sikh riots issue, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is seeking to claim credit for bringing the public focus back on the tragedy.

The ruling AAP has put up posters in parts of the city, claiming to bring to justice the perpetrators behind the riots. The posters read: “1984 ke Sikh katleaam ka ab hoga insaaf (justice will now be done for the massacre of Sikhs in 1984)”.The posters carry Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s photo and his name.

The posters surfaced after the Kejriwal government announced its move to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the 1984 riots cases. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has approved the formation of the SIT.

Congress leaders Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar are among those who are facing trial for their alleged role in 1984 riots.

While it is welcome that the Delhi government is reopening the probe into the riot-related cases in a bid to ensure long-delayed justice; however, the move to highlight “katleaam” shows an assurance to Sikhs that soon they will get justice.

So whatever commitments he made with we Sikhs before he came in power, he fulfilled them to best of his level. Had he been continued, we could hope of him much more which we could not be served in last 30 years. I request every Sikh in India to cast his/her vote only to AAP as we are in  debt of these kind heart, honest people who work for people not for themselves, they came in power to serve not to rule.

Let us give strength to AAP by our VOTE AND SUPPORT.

Humble servant of Sikh nation,

Ajmer Singh Randhawa
